چکیده
The campus of Tallinn University Technology consists 26 buildings with a total annual heat demand approximately 20 GWh. A local natural gas-fired boiler provides annually 13 GWh heating to 12 in the and 14 are connected district system. This paper analyses possibilities replacing gas heating. Two systems were modelled using EnergyPRO software compared reference system network: connection an existing high-temperature network low-temperature energy cascade. All three two different price scenarios. results analysed from perspective university entire city’s cascade will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 955 tonnes CO2. conventional would emission 765 tons District also lead primary savings supporting university’s efforts towards achieving its sustainable development goals. utilising return water reduces losses increases efficiency electricity production when separate or

than a non-neutral network that biases network traffic in a fashion that is unfavorable to end users. The contribution of this paper is linking the total value of network infrastructure based on the degree of its neutrality to market uncertainty. Rapidly changing Internet technology has created a very uncertain market (market uncertainty is defined below) in the context of providers being able ...
متن کاملConnecting the Dots: towards Archaeological Network Analysis
CONNECTING THE DOTS: TOWARDS ARCHAEOLOGICAL NETWORK ANALYSIS Summary. In recent years network analysis has been applied in archaeological research to examine the structure of archaeological relationships of whatever sort. However, these archaeological applications share a number of issues concerning 1) the role of archaeological data in networks; 2) the diversity of network structures, their co...
متن کاملOptimal integration of solar energy in a district heating network
The implementation of European Directive 2012/27 calls for the presence of a renewable share inside efficient district heating and cooling. Solar thermal energy can be a viable contribution to this aim but particular attention must be put into its integration inside the district heating systems. In fact, the variable and non-controllable nature of renewable heating must be handled by fulfilling...
متن کاملNetwork synthesis for district heating with multiple heat plants
In this paper the first results of a new method for the configuration of district energy systems are presented. District energy systems are believed to help decreasing the CO2-emissions due to energy services (heating, cooling, electricity and hot water), by implementing polygeneration energy conversion technologies. However, because polygeneration technologies are complex, it is meaningful to ...
متن کاملClassifying district heating network leakages in aerial thermal imagery
In this paper we address the problem of automatically detecting leakages in underground pipes of district heating networks from images captured by an airborne thermal camera. The basic idea is to classify each relevant image region as a leakage if its temperature exceeds a threshold. This simple approach yields a significant number of false positives. We propose to address this issue by machine...
